Counterpoints Colorblock Combo

Counterpoints Jacket

A couple of years ago, I was invited to present a Counterpoints Jacket workshop for the Susquehannah Sewing Guild in Harrisburg, PA. Guild President, Gail Diefenderfer, just sent along a photo of member Dottie Sutch’s lovely jacket and I wanted to share it with you.

The blue wool was previously a sweater and the gray wool was yardage purchased some time ago. Both were washed in hot water and dried in the dryer. Dottie used the basic pattern and added her own spin to it. She used Polartec binding and lined the jacket with a heavy satin fabric purchased at an outlet store many years ago. (We love our stash fabric, don’t we?!) This is a great example of how to combine fabrics and colors for a beautiful, creative jacket.

Thanks for sharing, Dottie!
