Eyes on the Islesboro
Judy Andersen, a member of the Gold Country American Sewing Guild Chapter, just emailed these photos of her gorgeous jacket and I had to share with you. It’s a work of wearable art.
Judy adapted my Islesboro Jacket Pattern design. Her jacket was constructed from an over 10 yd. piece of 13″ wide genuine Yukata Fabric, that she purchased in Tokyo about 8 years ago. To set off each Panel, she used many yards of bias cut flat piping and binding, and then added hand Sashiko Stitching. It came out beautifully, and received many kudos when she modeled it at ASG Sacramento Annual Meeting and Fashion Show.
Thanks for sharing your masterpiece (and it really is), Judy!
